About the Role
Are you a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in children’s lives?
Connex Education is proud to work in partnership with a range of specialist SEND provisions across Greater Manchester, and we are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs in specialist educational settings. You may be providing 1:1 support, leading small group interventions or assisting within the classroom, helping pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
About our roles
We are working with an alternative educational academy supporting primary-aged pupils (Years 1–6) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils attend the centre full-time after being permanently excluded or identified as being at serious risk of exclusion from their mainstream school.
The centre provides a nurturing, structured environment where pupils receive the personalised support they need to rebuild confidence, develop positive behaviours and re-engage with learning. Following their time at the centre, many pupils successfully return to mainstream education or transition into specialist provision best suited to their needs.
About Our Partner Schools
Connex Education works with a variety of specialist schools supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
