The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an essential part in helping children reach their full potential while supporting teachers to create engaging and inclusive classrooms.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Providing 1:1 support or leading small intervention groups.
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence and resilience.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
  • Supporting children with SEND and a range of additional learning needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Many of our full-time positions (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm) offer the opportunity to become permanent members of staff.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Essential

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience supporting children within a school setting.
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above), or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for helping children learn and succeed.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education.

You’ll also be:

  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND.
  • Proactive with good classroom awareness and behaviour management skills.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Keen to continue learning and developing your career in education.
