About the role:
Connex Education are working with SEND School in Knowsley who are looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to support in a range of classes throughout the School. The School caters for pupils 2-19 years with SLD, ASC,PMLD, sensory and complex needs.

This School has fantastic facilities that fosters a child-centered approach that promotes individual achievements and independence. All staff support pupils into adulthood, they work closely with parents and adopt a multi-agency approach with nurses, therapists, social workers and positive behaviour teams.
Assignment details:
This SEND Teaching Assistant role will commence in September 2026, this is a full time role. The hours consist of working 8.30am-3.30pm. This role will be for the whole academic year and there is a chance of a direct contract.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with complex needs
- Be able to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Be adaptable and able to quickly build a trusting relationship with pupils
- Able to work well as a team
- Able to communicate well and be patient.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
