Connex Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in Nottinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant or experienced classroom support worker with a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils with additional needs both within the classroom and, where appropriate, through individual or small-group interventions.
Responsibilities may include:
- 1:1 pupil support
- Small-group interventions
- Supporting pupils with SEND
- Helping children access the primary curriculum
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Supporting positive behaviour
- Working alongside class teachers and the wider SEND team
Experience We’re Looking For
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- SEN or SEND support
- Primary schools
- Teaching Assistant roles
- 1:1 pupil support
- Behaviour support
- Learning support
- Mainstream education
The successful candidate will be calm, patient, resilient and confident building positive relationships with children.
