1:1 Teaching Assistant – SEND & Behaviour Support
Location: Nottinghamshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time
Salary: Competitive – PAYE
Connex Education is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support within a primary school setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs and managing behaviour effectively. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to help a pupil access learning and feel confident within the classroom.
The Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support
- Help the pupil access classroom learning
- Support positive behaviour and engagement
- Build a strong and trusting relationship
- Encourage independence and confidence
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider team
We’re Looking For
- Previous 1:1 Teaching Assistant experience
- Good behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Calm and consistent approach
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Team Teach or similar behaviour support training would be advantageous.
