The Role
As an ASC Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching and learning tailored to the individual needs of pupils. Depending on the placement, you could be working within a specialist school, autism provision or a mainstream school with specialist resource provision.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting pupils with ASC and associated additional needs
- Adapting teaching approaches to suit individual learning styles and communication needs
- Creating a structured, calm and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting communication, social development and independence
- Managing behaviour positively and consistently
- Working alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist support staff
- Following EHCP outcomes and individual support plans
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting provision accordingly

- Full-time or part-time opportunities
- Opportunities within specialist schools, resource bases and mainstream settings
Whether you are looking to gain more experience within specialist education, want a flexible supply role or are looking for your next long-term position, we can help match you with suitable schools.
About You
We are looking for teachers who are patient, adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to inclusive education.
You will ideally have experience teaching pupils with ASC, although we will also consider teachers with strong SEND experience who are looking to develop their specialist knowledge.
