Connex - Warrington
Connex Education are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Macclesfield. This primary school is looking to employ a 1-1 teaching assistant to support a child with moderate behavioural difficulties within their reception class. You will be working on a one-to-one basis under the guidance of the class teacher. This role is Monday-Friday 08.30-15.50, beginning immediately with the possibility to become long-term.
Job Responsibilities:
– Follow the guidance of the class teacher, however, use initiative and be confident in your own management
– To establish productive working relationships with the pupil, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
– Access and observe development, implement any strategies needed, and provide relevant feedback
– To build a trusting relationship aiding in the development of the educational and social growth
– To be considered for the SEND role:
– Must have recent experience working with children or young people with SEND needs
– Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
– To be approachable, and calm but have a firm manner
– Have a DBS on the update service/willing to comply
