I am working with a school local to Chester that are in need of a Teaching Assistant to work full time. 

This Alternative Provision work with children who cannot attend a mainstream school. With a dedicated team of staff, this school expects high standards of behaviour from all students, working together to gain a mutual respect. Due to the nature of this school, class sizes are small, with no more than 8 students in each classroom.

This role involves working a 1:1 basis with a student with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autism. You will be working closely with the student in a nurturing way, helping them build their trust, confidence and self-esteem. Assisting the class teacher you will be expected to assist in building a programme in which this student can get the most from their academic experience. To be a successful in the application process, it is essential you have experience working with complex behaviours and Autism.
