About the role:
Connex Education are working with a Primary School in Wirral who have a SEND resource provision which caters for pupils with Autism, ADHD and GDD. They are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible to provide tailored support to one of their pupils in KS1.

This inclusive Primary School fosters academic and personal growth using a broad curriculum and providing a safe environment for all pupils. The resource provision partners with SENDLO and has a strong focus on supporting the individual needs of each pupil. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at this School, you will build a positive relationship with the pupil, helping them to manage emotions and promoting independence.
Assignment details:
This is a full-time role and will commence asap. This will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. There is chance of a direct contract for the right candidate. This is ideal for a TA who has experience of supporting SEND primary pupils and who want to make a difference in a positive learning environment.

Person specification:
• Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, GDD.
• Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help pupils self -regulate.
• Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.
• Be engaging and using a person-centered approach.
• Be willing to work as a team and collaborate with families to implement behaviour management strategies.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
