About the Role
Are you passionate about helping children overcome challenges and develop the confidence they need to succeed at school? Connex Education is looking for compassionate and committed Behaviour Support professionals to work across primary schools in Bridgwater.

You’ll provide consistent support to pupils who may need additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement in learning. Working closely with teachers and school staff, you’ll help create a positive environment where pupils feel understood, supported, and encouraged to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
- Work alongside teachers and school staff to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support where appropriate.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils.
- Encourage pupils to develop positive strategies for managing their emotions and behaviour.
- Support children to participate confidently in classroom learning and activities.
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual pupils and different school settings.

Job Requirements
- Experience supporting children with behavioural or additional needs is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a primary school or educational environment is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Patient, calm, reliable, and confident when responding to challenging situations.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different school environments.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and diversity.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
