The Role
In this role you will supporting 11 – 18 year old pupils who have a range of hearing needs across the school. The school are ideally looking for a learning support assistant who holds a BSL qualification (level 3 or 4 desirable) and a knowledge of Makaton as you will be required to translate spoken language into BSL competently within a mainstream classroom.

What You’ll Need
✅ BSL Level 3 or Level 4
✅ Previous experience in behavioural control within a school, youth work, care, or similar setting
✅ Have strong English skills, be able to adapt spoken and written English to make materials accessible for Deaf students
✅ Calm, empathetic, and solution-focused attitude
✅ Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
✅ Proof of right to work in the UK (required to apply)
