About the Role
Connex Education is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary academy in North London to recruit a passionate and committed Business & Economics Teacher (QTS). This full-time position is ideal for either a newly qualified teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner looking to join a thriving department and make a real impact on students’ futures.
About the School
This is an ambitious 11–18 academy that prides itself on its inclusive ethos, high standards, and commitment to student achievement. Housed in a modern building with state-of-the-art facilities, the school is easily accessible and just 12 minutes from a mainline train station.
The Business department is part of a wider team of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers in Computing, Business, and Finance. Staff are supported by an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Department and Head of Faculty, who have introduced a wide range of teaching resources and schemes of work to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
Person Specification
We are looking for a motivated Business & Economics Teacher who meets the following criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential, with a Business or Economics specialism.
- Subject Knowledge: Confident in delivering engaging and differentiated Business and Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced department.
- Professional Development: Eagerness to grow professionally—opportunities include access to middle and senior leadership training through UCL’s Institute of Education.
- High Expectations: Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their best.
- DBS Check: Valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
