Caretaker Required
Connex Education are working on behalf of a SEN school based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire in search of a Caretaker.
Start date: as soon as possible
End date: tbc
Contract type: Long-term, permanent
Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday – 2pm – 7pm or 2:30pm – 7:30pm
Job Description:
- Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
- Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
- General maintenance, DIY – fixing and put furniture together, painting
- Litter picking
- Assisting with any school deliveries
- Overlooking the schools health and safety. Carrying out fire drills/test.
- Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools
- Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site
- Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents’ evenings
- Gardening and outdoor site maintenance – lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking.
Requirements:
- Must have or be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- Be experienced within the role.
