About the role
Connex Education is seeking organised and responsible cover supervisors to provide general cover, classroom supervision and student support in secondary schools across the Teesside Area.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-3:30pm during school term times.
About the school
A Well-established mainstream secondary school within the Teesside area is currently looking for an enthusiastic and flexible cover supervisor to supervise classes and provide learning support during short-term staff absences. The right candidate will be someone who shares the same passion and values for education. The school is looking for a Cover Supervisor who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils’ education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into lessons and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.
Assignment Details
As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a productive and orderly learning environment for students ages 11-16 when their regular teacher is unavailable. This Includes supervising whole classes across various subjects when teachers are absent and following lesson plans left by teachers to facilitate activities and assist students. It also important to support students in completing tasks and promoting positive behaviour in the classroom

- Person Specification
- must be 21 and over
- MUST have experience in UK based schools
- Must drive due to location of schools
- You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
- Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 lessons across ability and subject ranges.
- Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
