Cover Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role: Cover supervisor
Rate of pay: £500- £650 P/W
Location: Yardley
**About the role**
As a Cover Supervisor, based in Yardley, South Birmingham, you will play a key part in supporting children with a variety of additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and reach their full potential. You will be supervising a whole class, in a primary setting during PPA time and teachers absence. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities and managing classroom behaviour in line withe school policy. As a Cover Supervisor, you will also support pupils to remain on task and provide feedback to staff on lesson outcomes and pupil engagement. There is no planning involved with this role.
**Role Requirements**
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting is essential
- Degree in education or equivalent qualification
- A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong communication skills, both with pupils and staff
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education, is required)
