Cover Supervisor

We are recruiting a confident Cover Supervisor for a large, well-structured secondary school in Enfield with approximately 1,200 pupils on roll.
This is a modern school with strong behaviour systems, clear routines and a visible senior leadership team. The school has recently invested in updated ICT suites, a refurbished science block and a dedicated behaviour support team, making it a well-supported environment for Cover Supervisors.
The school is easily accessible via rail links into Enfield Town and Southbury, as well as multiple bus routes. Limited staff parking is available on site.
The Role

Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy

Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task

Provide clear feedback to teaching staff

Uphold safeguarding and professional standards
You will not be planning lessons — your focus is maintaining consistency and structure in the classroom.
Requirements
You must meet one of the following:

Degree qualification
OR -
GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
OR -
Level 2/3 qualification (NVQ/CACHE/BTEC)
OR -
Two years’ referenceable school experience
You must also demonstrate:

Strong behaviour management

Clear communication skills

Professional presentation
-
Reliability and resilience
-
Understanding of safeguarding
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required.
