Cover Supervisor
Location: Mansfield
Pay: Up to £650 per week
Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours available

About The Role:
Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor within this well-established secondary school. This role involves supporting across a range of subject areas, ensuring pupils are provided with a safe, engaging and productive learning environment where they can continue to make progress in the absence of their usual teacher. Responsibilities include delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and completing lesson feedback to ensure a smooth handover to the returning teacher. The successful candidate will be confident managing classes independently, remain calm under pressure, think on their feet and build positive relationships with young people, while adhering to the school’s safeguarding and behaviour expectations.

Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Degree OR GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both or equivalent Functional Skill Level 2)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
- Approachable, able to build respectful relationships with pupils.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting pupil progress and school life.
- Good literacy & numeracy skills to support learning and classroom administration.
- The ability to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries within a school setting.
- Adaptable and resilient when working across different subjects and year groups.
- Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
- Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
- Completed the Connex Education/Academize Effective Cover Supervision training course (access will be provided to all suitable applicants).
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completed the Connex Education Onboarding Process
