Connex Education is seeking an organised and self-motivated Cover Supervisor to provide classroom supervision and student support in Secondary schools across Nottinghamshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain experience in a variety of schools and settings.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during short-term staff absences and ensure students remain focused on their studies. Duties will include taking student registers, managing behaviour, assisting with classwork, and following lesson plans left by teachers.
We have part-time and full-time Cover Supervisor roles available. This is an ideal position for graduates considering a career in teaching or someone looking for a flexible school support role.
- Graduates – Minimum 4 weeks unsupervised experience working with secondary school students. Supervised experience also considered but longer duration required.
- Non-graduates – 6-12 months relevant secondary school classroom experience. Less than 12 months experience must be available full-time. Part-time considered for those nearing 12 months experience.
- All candidates must demonstrate strong classroom management abilities gained through prior experience supporting KS3 and KS4 students. Understanding of managing secondary classrooms essential.
This role is also well-suited to teachers with overseas experience who are looking to begin a teaching career in the UK.

The rate of pay is between per £80 to £120 day.
