Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools

£120–£160 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people in education? We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming secondary schools in Swindon from September 2026.
These opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term assignments, making them ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or anyone looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising secondary school classes across a variety of subjects
- Delivering lesson instructions and ensuring students stay on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
- Supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Following safeguarding and school procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people is beneficial
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A proactive and reliable approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
