Job Title: Drama / Performing Arts
Location: Burton on Trent
Start Date Sept 2026
Duration: 1 Full Academic Year
Shift Pattern: 3 days per week
Salary: Teacher Pay Scale Compliant
School Details:
This is a split site secondary school based near to the town of Burton on Trent. Feedback from staff members that have worked in similar roles detail the schools exceptionally supportive staff and the pleasant, confident and ambitious pupils. Due to the need to work across two sites, own transport will be required.
Vacancy Details:
- Teacher of Drama and performing arts
- 0.6 (3 days) per week
- To teach drama to KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Full lesson planning, delivery and assessment of work required
- Possibility of assisting with a form / tutor group
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Experience of teaching Drama (other performing arts will be considered)
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
