Early Years Practitioner (EYFS)

Location: Barnet (NW2)

About the Role

We’re currently seeking a passionate, creative and proactive Early Years Practitioner to join one of the leading Nursery and Pre-Prep schools in North West London. As an integral member of the school staff you’ll shape young minds and create an engaging learning environment for our pupils.

This role is within an Early Years class, . Each member of staff in the team will lead on some specific areas of strength in the curriculum and support in other lessons and snack and play duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging educational activities that support children’s development
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, maintaining detailed records
  • Create inclusive learning environments both indoors and outdoors
  • Develop and implement specialized programs for pupils with additional needs
  • Lead storytelling sessions and educational activities
  • Organize and supervise educational visits
  • Maintain a stimulating classroom environment
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support children’s development
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and safety procedures

Required Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths, and Science
  • NVQ Level 3 or Level 6 qualification
  • QTS/EYTS (desirable)
  • EYFS experience

Working Hours

Flexible shift pattern including:

  • 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • 8:15am – 5:15pm
  • 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • 8:45am – 5:45pm
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm (lock up)

Shifts are distributed fairly and rotated termly among staff.
