Rate of pay: £700 – £1000 P/W – Dependent on experience

About the role
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills while fostering a love for literature. Teaching across KS3 and KS4, you will cover key topics such as creative writing, poetry, drama, and literary analysis, helping students build confidence in communication and critical thinking. Your role includes lesson planning, assessment, and creating a supportive learning environment that inspires academic growth. Connex is seeking passionate and dedicated English Teachers across Birmingham who are committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Role Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) confirming employability as a Teacher in England, Scotland & Wales
• Previous experience working as an English Teacher
• DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
• Strong classroom management skills
• A clear passion for working with children and fostering their educational growth
• Commitment to the profession of working in Education
• Past 2 years’ worth of referencing
