We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher’s to join our thriving English Department’s at secondary school’s in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young minds and contribute to our continued success in delivering exceptional English education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3-5
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Support students’ personal and academic development
  • Participate in whole-school activities and events
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in English Literature, English Language, or related subject
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across literature, language
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to high educational standards and student achievement
  • Ability to differentiate learning for students of all abilities

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience teaching A-Level English Literature and/or Language
  • Additional qualifications in English or Education
  • Experience with examination specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
  • Knowledge of current educational initiatives and pedagogical approaches
  • Experience in pastoral care or additional responsibilities
