About the role
We are working with a large mainstream primary school in the TS6 area who are looking to recruit an experienced EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Lead Teacher. To join the team and lead the early years provision. This role is a 2 fixed term contract (possible extension) working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm. Start date: January 2025. As a requirement for this role we are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience in an EYFS teaching role.

Assignment Details
As part of this role you will lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners within the nursery class. You will plan and deliver an engaging, play-based EYFS curriculum following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive. You will also observe, assess and record each child’s development and learning needs, working closely with parents and carers. Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety standards are upheld at all times.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Proven experience in an early years or nursery teaching role
- Be confident leading and teaching a full classroom
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
