Teacher of French – Harborne, Birmingham
Location: Near Harborne, Birmingham
About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting for a qualified Teacher of French to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school located near the Harborne area of Birmingham. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the summer term. The school is also looking to appoint a permanent teacher from September, and supply teachers will be considered.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing, delivering, and marking French lessons across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and forward-thinking MFL department committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as long as you have recent experience teaching French in a UK secondary school.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective French lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.

Assess and monitor pupil progress through marking and feedback.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues in the MFL department.
Person Specification:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

Recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 French in a UK secondary school.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Passionate about language learning and student development.

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
