I am seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school community on the outskirts of Knutsford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference across the whole school, working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 6.
About the Role
You will provide high-quality support across all key stages, working flexibly to meet the needs of our pupils and staff. You will be covering a maternity leave position, supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. The role is to start January 2025 to cover maternity role
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver learning activities to individuals, groups, and whole classes under the guidance of teaching staff
- Support pupils across EYFS to Year 6, adapting your approach to suit different age groups and abilities
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
- Maintain positive behaviour management and create an engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Supervise and provide guidance to other teaching assistants where appropriate
About You
Essential:
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification
- Experience working across multiple key stages in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and KS1/KS2 National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of different year groups
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
