The Role

As a History Teacher, you’ll inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the past while helping them build critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment

  • Monitor and support student progress and attainment

  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A passion for inspiring young people through History

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
