Job Title: Humanities (Geography and History) Teacher
Location: Derby City Centre

Duration: 1 Term
Shift Pattern: Full Time

School Details:
This is a large Secondary school located in Derby city centre. The school has a current Ofsted grading of ‘Good’ which it has held for almost a decade. The school is known for having a strong, dedicated leadership team that has prioritised the personal development of its pupils which has been extremely effective. Staff who have worked temporarily at the school have commented on the welcoming nature of the staff and pupils as well as the exceptional support given to newly appointed staff.
Vacancy Details:
- To teach a mixed timetable of Geography and History
- To teach full time, and to attend necessary appointments such as parents evenings and staff meetings
- To teach the History and Geography curriculum and to assess pupils work
- Teaching to KS3 and KS4
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- To have demonstrable experience of teaching Geography AND/OR History (preferably both, but candidates with experience of teaching one or the other will be considered)
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
