KS3 Teacher – SEMH & SEND
Location: Bristol
Hours: Full-Time
Contract: Long-Term Supply with Potential for Permanent Opportunities
Salary: £160 – £250 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)

About the Role
As a KS3 Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and personalised lessons across the Key Stage 3 curriculum.
- Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other additional learning needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage pupils to re-engage with education.
- Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop both academically and personally.
- Use effective assessment to monitor progress and celebrate achievement.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to provide holistic support for pupils.
- Promote resilience, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through your teaching and daily interactions.
About You
We’re looking for teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour, or are eager to develop within specialist education.
- Are calm, patient and resilient with excellent behaviour management skills.
- Can build strong relationships based on trust, consistency and respect.
- Are committed to inclusive education and believe every young person can succeed.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
