About the role:
Connex Education are working with an alternative provision in Liverpool who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
About the School:
This AP caters for KS3 and 4 pupils who have been excluded or are struggling in mainstream. They offer a bespoke personailsed curriculum as well as supporting pupils emotionally and pastorally. The pupils have social, emotional mental health and behavioural issues. The staff work collectively to provide pupils with a calm , supportive and enriching learning environment where they can thrive.
Assignment details:
This role will commence asap and will be for the remainder of the academic year with a view to a contract in September for the right candidate. This is a full time role and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.00-4.00pm.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting children or young adults with SEMH
- Be able to provide pastoral support, build relationships with students and help them to be the best version of themselves.
- Able to communicate well and be patient as well as bring self-regulated and calm.
- Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
