- Role: 1:1 Primary Learning Support Assistant
- Start Date: ASAP
- Daily Pay Rate – £75.92- £90
- Hours: Full time – Temporary until 21st July (8:30am-3:30pm) (With a possible extension into the academic 23/24 year)
- Location: Middlesbrough (Nunthorpe Area)
Connex Education Partnership are working with a large mainstream primary school within an academy trust that are recruiting an enthusiastic support assistant who is experienced and confident to provide 1:1 assistance with pupils who have additional needs within the mainstream provision. This role involves working within and outside of the classroom environment and requires you to be working with pupils who have autism and complex needs along with an EHCP.
The role involves working on a full time basis Monday – Friday. Working Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
*The school is a busy Middlesbrough School and you will be in a great area for transport links, therefore is highly desirable for those who don’t have a driving licence*
To work as a Support Assistant you will need:
- Awareness and experience of working with SEND, such as; social/communication skills, emotional well-being and behaviour management of young pupils
- Worked with behaviour with children ideally between 5 and 11. Support/Care background experience will also be accepted if relevant to the role.
- Worked 1:1 or with children who have complex needs
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new check
