Learning Support Assistant – Year 5
Are you seeking work as a Learning Support Assistant in Islington?
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has some experience either working with SEND children in a school envionment or in another transferable industry.
You will be working alongside the class teacher providing support and guidance to pupils within the class with SEND.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the pupil is following their learning plans and pathways, supporting student progress.
- Demonstrate commitment to enhancing students’ lives socially, physically, and academically.
- Proficiently offer necessary support to students, including working 1:1 with some of the pupils.
- Exhibit resilience, adaptability, and quick thinking in diverse environments.
- Behaviour management within the classroom, ensure children stay focused and on task where possible.

Experience required:
- Prior experience in education or care settings, particularly with Special Educational Needs, is advantageous.
