Learning Support Assistants
Barking & Dagenham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full time (Long term supply until July 2025)
Hours: 8:30-15:30 (Term Time Only)
Pay Rate: £90 per day / £450 per week
We are working with a large Special School in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham who are looking to take on full time learning support assistants, who can demonstrate a passionate and optimistic approach to the pupils. They are looking for staff with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Pupils who attend the school are admitted within the following categories of special needs:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe learning difficulties (SLD)
The school offers:

Selection Criteria:
- Has experience in working with children with Learning Difficulties
- Holds an NVQ Level 2 or above (desirable)
- Is willing to put the needs of pupils first
- Is willing to learn a new role
- Is able to work as a member of a team
- Is able to be flexible in their approach to working with pupils
