About the role
Connex Education are working with several welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Derby (DE1 – DE24) area, and we are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support on a supply basis throughout the summer term.
These flexible roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and want to make a positive impact in the classroom. Whether you’re seeking full-time or part-time work, we have opportunities to suit your availability and preferences.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils reach their full potential – whether that’s supporting learning in class, working one-to-one, or assisting small groups. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to help maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of school settings in the local area.
Assignment details
These supply roles are available now and will continue throughout the summer term. For the right candidates, long-term or permanent roles may also become available.

Person Specification
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Flexibility, patience, and a proactive attitude
• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Minimum grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English
• UK experience working in a school or with children
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
