-
Adapt learning approaches to suit students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH challenges.
-
Mentor students who have struggled to engage in education, encouraging resilience and self-worth.
-
Support both academic development and personal growth.
-
Take ownership of your caseload, managing time, planning, and lesson preparation.
-
Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and local authorities to update on progress.
-
Keep accurate records of attendance, lesson content, and outcomes.
-
Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.
-
Use initiative to problem-solve and adapt strategies when needed.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (experienced tutors, HLTA, or support staff also considered).
-
✅ Strong subject knowledge in Maths, with proven experience in teaching or tutoring.
-
✅ Experience supporting SEMH students, ideally in tuition, mentoring, or alternative provision.
-
✅ Understanding of strategies to support Autism, ADHD, and emotional regulation.
-
✅ Patient, resilient, and adaptable, with strong behaviour management skills.
-
Experience from related fields such as counselling, prisons, youth offending teams, or support work (advantageous).
