Teacher of Music – QTS / ECT / QTLS (Part-Time, Long-Term Supply)
Location: Near Bearwood, South Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025 for at least 1 term – Perm potential
Working Days: 3 days per week – Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Contract Type: Long-Term Supply via Connex Education
An inclusive and forward-thinking Good-rated secondary school located near the Bearwood area of Birmingham is seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher (QTS, QTLS, or ECT) looking for a rewarding part-time role in a supportive environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will:

Teach engaging and creative Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Be responsible for planning, preparing, teaching, and marking as part of the role.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Music curriculum, including music technology and composition using digital systems.

Inspire students through practical and theoretical music experiences, fostering creativity and progression.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Recent experience teaching KS3 & KS4 Music in a UK secondary school.

Competent using music technology software for composition and delivery.

Excellent classroom management and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

A genuine passion for music education and student development.
