Job Title: Supply Nursery Assistant
Location: Ellesmere Port (with opportunities across Merseyside and Cheshire)
Salary: £12.82 – £13.69 per hour (dependant on experience and qualification levels)
Hours: Shift Rota Basis 8.30-3.30 (minimum 16 hours a week)
About the role:
Are you a caring, fun-loving individual ready to make a difference in the lives of young children? We have the perfect opportunity for you! One of the lovely Nurseries we work alongside are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner to work a minimum of one day a week in their nursery. There are several positions available in the baby room, toddler room and pre-school room dependent on your individual interests and experience.
About the Nursery:
The nursery is purposefully small nursery creates a warm, close-knit environment where every team member knows each child personally, helping to build strong, trusted relationships and a genuine sense of belonging for children and their families. Their experienced and dedicated team includes several long-standing practitioners, providing stability and consistency. They deliver a high-quality early years education through their bespoke, child-led curriculum tailored to each child’s individual needs, interests and stage of development. They work closely with families at every stage, offering supportive Parent Packs on key early years topics and access to a lending library that encourages a love of reading, ensuring children grow into happy, confident and curious learners.

What we’re looking for:
- A minimum level 2 of a relevant childcare qualification and Early Years experience (essential)
- EYFS knowledge
- Passion for child development
- Strong communication skills
- Paediatric First Aid Qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Driving license (preferred but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, nurturing space for kids aged 0-5.
- Participate in engaging activities and educational programs.
- Work closely with our team in day-to-day operations.
- Delight children with play and learning activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Follow health and safety protocols.
