Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Part-Time)
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: £14 – £17 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Part-time | September 2026 – December 2026 (with the opportunity for a permanent position)
Working Pattern: Wednesday to Friday, 12:00pm – 3:30pm
Essential Qualification: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

About the Opportunity
Connex Education is working in partnership with a friendly and well-established nursery in Weston-super-Mare to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Assistant. This part-time role will commence in September 2026 and is expected to continue until December 2026, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity.
You will become part of a supportive early years team, helping to provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and develop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating meaningful experiences for young children and understands the importance of supporting every stage of their early development.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the daily routines of the nursery and contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
- Plan and deliver stimulating activities alongside colleagues in line with the EYFS framework.
- Encourage children’s learning and development through play-based experiences.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and members of the nursery team.
- Support children’s personal care needs while maintaining their dignity and wellbeing.
- Observe children’s progress and contribute to learning journals and developmental records where required.
- Prepare resources and help maintain a safe, organised, and engaging learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the health, safety, and welfare of all children.

Essential Requirements:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or equivalent.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
