About the role:
Connex Education are working with various SEND Schools in Runcorn and Widnes, who are seeking Nursing Students who are interested in working in SEND Schools as a Teaching Assistant. You will gain valuable experience supporting pupils with medical needs.
About the School:
The schools we work with cater for pupils aged between 2 and 19 with a range of needs including Severe Learning Difficulties and complex medical needs. If you have a keen interest in children’s development and physical and mental health then this could be the role for you.
Assignment details:
As a Nursing Student working as a SEND Teaching Assistant , you will be supporting pupils emotional and physical needs. You will be assisting with personal care and promoting independence.. We have a range of roles available including day to day (working around your university timetable , part-time and full-time roles. The hours are usually Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm.

Person specification:
- A keen interest in children’s behaviour and development
- Currently studying or recently qualified in Children or Adult Nursing
- Experience of supporting children or adults with additional needs
- The ability to build relationships with staff and pupils as well as maintaining professional boundaries.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
