About the role
Connex education is recruiting for a flexible role teaching students who are not attending school. This role will be working with students who have an educational health care plan (EHCP) to create bespoke lessons for individual needs. You can work on a part time or full-time basis as you have the option to manage your own diary.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to provide one-on-one, in-home educational support tailored to the unique needs of PMLD students. This rewarding role involves delivering highly personalized, sensory-based learning sessions that promote communication, independence, and engagement. Applicants should have experience working with individuals with complex needs, a calm and patient approach, and the ability to adapt creatively to each student’s abilities and learning style. Assignment Details
This role will start ASAP and continue in September for the Academic year.

Person Specification
- QTS or equivalent.
- PMLD or Strong SEND Experience
- Makaton or PECs experience
- Strong ability to engage and motivate reluctant learners.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Driving license (Preferred).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations.
