About the role
If you are an early careers teacher teacher and want more experience in the class room Connex Education is working with a number of mainstream primary schools based in Middlesbrough and Teeside are that are seeking primary teachers for regular classroom cover and HLTA support. At Connex we are offering flexible working patterns including part-time, full-time and ad hoc for daily cover and longer term cover assignments.

Assignment Details
As part of your role as a primary teacher you will be covering classrooms, PPA and also working with small groups. There are also TA and HLTA opportunities available for those ECTs looking to build on their confidence in the classroom. We can offer immediate starts and roles available after Easter as well as start dates for the new academic role starting in September 2026. You must have experience in a primary classroom environment- placement experience or TA experience is fine.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teaching Status
- Have experience of teaching pupils in a primary school setting – TA or placement
- For newly qualified teachers experience working as a TA or university placement
- Be confident covering and teaching a full classroom
- Good Knowledge of EYFS/KS1 or KS2 curriculum
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
