About the Role
Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across Littleover and the wider DE23 area who are looking to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible basis.
With schools moving into the final half term of the academic year, demand for reliable Teaching Assistants continues across local schools. Opportunities are available for those looking to start immediately, while many schools are also beginning to prepare for September support staff requirements.
You will be supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping pupils remain engaged, develop confidence, and access learning within positive and inclusive classroom environments.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom routines
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
• Helping pupils stay focused and involved throughout the school day
This role is well suited to those looking for flexible local work, whether you already have school-based experience or are seeking further classroom experience ahead of the new academic year.

Assignment Details

Person Specification
• Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred)
• Comfortable supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
• Strong communication skills and a patient, professional approach
• Reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
