Exciting Opportunity for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs.
We are working with various Primary Schools in Sefton that have base/nurture classes who are recruiting for SEN Teaching Assitants for a range of roles. The classes cater for pupils with a range of needs inclduing Autism, Speech and Language Difficulties, SEMH and Learning Difficulties. Most pupils have EHCP’s or are in the process of being assesed.
This is a great opportunity for a TA who has been working 1:1 and wants to expand their skills further or for a support worker who has a passion for supporting children with additonal needs. Some personal care maybe required.
The roles available are full time and there is a chnace of a direct contract.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students’ educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing pupils with academic and emotional support
- Building positive relationships with pupils, getting to know triggers and managing behaviour
- Collaborating with other TA’ to support the class teacher to create a holistic and effective support system.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with Special Needs
- Providing personal care as and when needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
