We are currently working with a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Camden that is seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The Role:
As a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs to access the curriculum, engage with their peers, and reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to implement individualized learning plans and provide tailored support to students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to SEND pupils.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assisting with personal care and mobility when necessary.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective support.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working with SEND pupils in an educational setting.
- A passion for inclusion and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of SEND students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and empathy.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are a plus.
