About the Role
Connex Education is collaborating with several mainstream primary schools in the Whitby area that regularly require cover for Primary Teachers. Opportunities may include full-time, part-time, or ad hoc days, catering to your availability and covering from Nursery to Year 6.
About the Schools
As a Primary Teacher with Connex, you will be working in schools throughout Whitby. Many of these institutions are part of a larger educational trust that prides itself on aspiration, inspiration, collaboration, and celebration, creating nurturing environments that enable children to thrive as successful learners. Your responsibilities will include covering classrooms, providing PPA, and working with small groups.
Assignment Details
Connex has immediate cover work available for Primary Teachers, with opportunities lasting until summer and full-time or part-time roles available with immediate start. We offer flexible work options, accommodating those seeking 2-4 days per week or full-time assignments, whether for day-to-day, short-term, or long-term cover.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching pupils in a primary school setting
- Confidence in covering and teaching full classrooms
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 or KS2 curriculum
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex
