About the role
Connex Education are working with large number of mainstream primary schools based in the Middlesbrough area who use regular cover for Primary Teachers. This can be full time, part time, or ad hoc days to suit the availability you have and working from Nursery to Year 6.
About the schools
As a Primary Teacher with Connex you will be working with schools around Middlesbrough and surrounding Teesside areas. Many of which are part of large education trusts, these schools pride themselves on aspiration, inspiration, collaboration and celebrating, creating a nurturing environments that enables children to be successful learners. As a Primary Teacher you will be covering classrooms, providing PPA cover and also working with small groups. There are also tuition/ intervention opportunities available to those interested in 1:1 support.
Assignment Details
There are opportunities for Primary Teachers with Connex for immediate cover work available covering daily sickness or course cover. There are also prebooked full time and part time roles available to start ready and we are recruiting for roles to start after Easter and also from September 2026. We have work to suit those looking for 2-5 days per week or full time long term opportunities.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teaching Status
- Have experience of teaching pupils in a primary school setting
- Be confident covering and teaching a full classroom
- Good Knowledge of EYFS/KS1 or KS2 curriculum
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
