Experienced Year 1 Teacher – September Start
Location: Nottinghamshire
Days: Thursday & Friday
Contract: September – December 2026
Salary: Competitive – PAYE
Looking for a part-time role where you can make an immediate impact?
Connex Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Nottinghamshire that is looking for an experienced teacher to join their Year 1 team this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established KS1 teacher who enjoys creating calm, engaging classrooms and building strong relationships with young learners.
You’ll be joining a well-supported class, with additional adults already working within the classroom to support pupils with a range of SEND needs.
Why This Role Could Be for You
- Two consistent days every week
- Thursday and Friday working pattern
- September to December placement
- Experienced support already within the classroom
- Opportunity to become part of a supportive school team
The school is looking for an experienced teacher rather than an ECT, so this would particularly suit someone who is confident stepping into an established Year 1 classroom and getting straight to work.
We’re Looking For
You will need:
- QTS
- Strong Year 1 or KS1 experience
- Excellent classroom management
- Confidence supporting a diverse range of learners
- A calm and consistent approach
- Availability every Thursday and Friday
Getting Here
The school is based in the NG15 area and is accessible from Hucknall, Mansfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Bulwell and surrounding areas.
Ready for September?
If you’re an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a part-time role where you can make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
