About the School

Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Nottingham area to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant to work on a regular relief cover in the school in Nottingham starting from October

You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. About the role 

Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of learning goals.

Person Specification

• Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
• Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
• Have behaviour management skills and experience with trauma
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
• Be organised and reliable
• Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
• Willing to go the extra mile!
