About the Role
Connex Education is working with a SEND schools based in Sheffield who are recruiting for a Psychology Graduate to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. This could be a temp to perm if you are the right candidate
About the Role
- Provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship.
- Help pupils set and achieve personal and academic goals.
- Share knowledge and expertise in a specific field or area of interest.
- Assist pupils in developing new skills and overcoming challenges.
- Act as a role model and provide positive reinforcement to pupils.
- Foster a supportive and trusting relationship with a range of pupils.
You will Need:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Active listening skills to understand individual pupils’ needs and concerns.
- Empathy and the ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils.
- Patience and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
