About the role:
Connex Education are working with a SEND School in South Liverpool who are seeking a Psychology Student who is interested in working as a Teaching Assistant. This will be supporting 2-11 year olds with social, emotional, mental health conditions and those who are neurodivergent.

This outstanding School is an attachment trauma informed learning community, they offer a personalised curriculum that is focus on the whole child. They challenge the children and work closely with families and the community to ensure the best possible outcomes. All staff offer emotional and social support to help enhance social interaction and relationships with peers. As a Psychology student at this school you will monitor behaviour, identify triggers and implement coping strategies.
Assignment details:
This role will commence in September 2026 on a temp to perm basis. You will be required to work 8am – 3pm Monday to Friday.

Person specification:
- A keen interest in children’s behaviour and development
- Currently studying or recently qualified in Psychology
- Experience of supporting children with SEMH and neurodivergent issues
- The ability to build relationships with staff and pupils as well as maintaining professional boundaries.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
